1958 Royal Quiet De Luxe *CONVENIENT FLESH TONE * (PINK?)
Canterbury Pica Typeface (10 cpi)
Used, but not used up! This typewriter is a classic from the days when American typewriters were on top of the world! Like most antiques that had a purpose, it shows some signs of use.
These Royal Quiet De Luxe portables are
It’s in GREAT condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. The paint is a wonderful light pink that feels almost band-aid pink, aka “convenient flesh tone”. Ha. It’s a fairly rare color either way, only the 2nd I’ve seen.
The typeface is very cool bookish font called Canterbury pica. The letters are really beautiful, and are somewhat bold. The Q has a little point that’s very distinctive, but my favorite is the asterisk being an actual star! The case is in good condition as well, and does a fine job. It makes a very handsome companion to such a gorgeous machine.
This is NOT an "as-is" typewriter.
It has been lovingly cleaned, oiled, serviced, and thoroughly tested to ensure it'll hang with whatever you decide to write with it. This is classy machine, sure to turn heads and drive conversation.
It comes with everything you see in the pictures and more;
YOUR CHOICE of an all-black, or black and red ribbon on vintage Royal-specific metal spools(installed), a reprinted owners manual, the typewriter & its handsome hard case, an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, the typeface text sample, and even a few sheets of paper to get you started on your path to analog independence and distraction-free writing!
Has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled lightly in the spots that are supposed to be, and serviced by someone that LOVES typewriters.
Free shipping in the continental US, estimates available upon request for global customers.
