1960 Royal FP Standard 🩷Tickled Pink!🩷

$799.99

Pica Typeface (10 cpi)

The Royal FP was released in 1957 as a successor to the popular Royal HH Standard. The design is sleek, and was based on the best selling portable model The Royal Futura.

It is a standard (or desktop) model, and well suited for a specific desk or writing spot. A workhorse used by all hundreds upon hundreds of businesses at the time. Their quality saw many of these used well into the 60’s and even 70’s after overhauls.

The pica typeface is classic, professional, and easy to read at 10 characters per inch. Action is tight, carriage is smooth, keystrokes are easy, and it’s an overall joy to use.

Aesthetically, it’s a handsome and futuristic looking machine. Classic lines, duotone pastel pink & light gray paint, and the prominent Red Royal logo makes for a very striking machine that will take whatever you throw at it and come back for more. Well designed, well built, and has a nice, deliberate feel to the keys. (The Royal logo is ALSO the button release for the ribbon cover!) The condition of the machine is good, some slight fading and signs of the years on the paint, but nothing that takes away from the fun 50’s aesthetic this wonderful machine embodies!

It comes with;

A brand new ribbon in your choice of color/material on Royal specific vintage metal spools, the typewriter, typeface sample, a reprinted owners manual, an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, and even some paper to get you started on the path to distraction free writing!

Free shipping in the continental US, estimates available for global customers upon request.
