1967 Facit TP2 *W I D E___C A R R I A G E*
Pica Typeface - 10cpi
The Facit TP2 is a Swedish designed and manufactured portable that is relatively uncommon to see in the states. It’s a handsome and quick machine, the tube rail system the carriage uses gives it a smooth, almost effortless return, and the keys are light, snappy, and deliberate.
It’s in really good condition, the platen is a actually still a bit soft, which is pretty uncommon to find on one of these. It belonged to a local lady that just celebrated her 99th birthday! She bought it new in 1967, and cherished it ever since until she started losing her eyesight and could no longer use it. She wanted to find a good home, so that’s what we’re going to do!
The pica typeface is classy, professional, and easy on the eyes at 10cpi.
Paint is in very good condition, almost perfect. Overall a handsome and very Swedish machine.
Case is in good shape, and features a cool paper holder under the machine and little tool pouch on the side for keeping a spare ribbon and cleaning brush.
It’s a fun typewriter, and sure to be a great addition to any collection!
This is NOT an "as-is" typewriter.
It has been lovingly cleaned, oiled, serviced, and thoroughly tested to ensure it'll hang with whatever you decide to write with it.
It comes with everything you see in the pictures and more;
A brand spankin' new ribbon on super cool vintage metal spools(installed), a reprinted original owners manual, the typewriter, its case(and a cleaning brush!), an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, the typeface text sample, and even a few sheets of paper to get you started on the path to analog independence and distraction free writing!
